Template:Primarysources E-JASL: The Electronic Journal of Academic and Special Librarianship is an independent, professional, peer-reviewed electronic journal in the areas of academic and special libraries.

The journal is particularly committed to the discussion and promotion of open access for all academic research. It is published and distributed by the International Consortium for the Advancement of Academic Publication (ICAAP) under the auspices of Athabasca University. E-JASL, was originally named the Journal of Southern Academic and Special Librarianship' (JSASL),and changed its name in 2002 to E-JASL to reflect its international scope. The current editors are Paul G. Haschak and Jean Caswell.

The journal is permanently archived by Library and Archives Canada. E-JASL is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals. E-JASL is indexed and abstracted by LISA (Library and Information Science Abstracts) beginning with volume 5 and Library Literature and Information Science {http://www.hwwilson.com/Databases/liblit.htm] beginning with volume 1.
